Netflix has picked up worldwide rights to two animated comedy series from Malaysian firm Animasia Animation Studio.
Non-dialogue slapstick comedy Harry & Bunnie (78×7′) and action comedy Chuck Chicken (52×11′) will be available on the global streaming service following the distribution deal.
Elsewhere, Animasia has sold soccer-themed show Bola Kampung (78×22′) to Yes Kidz in Israel ahead of the 2018 World Cup tournament in Russia. The show follows the story of a football club formed by a group of village kids.
Mediacorp Suria in Singapore has recently picked up seasons four and five of another soccer-themed show, Supa Strikas, from Animasia.
