Malaysian animation studio Animasia Studio has licensed two of its properties viz. the 78 x 7-minute series Harry & Bunnie and the 52 x 11-minute series Chuck Chicken to Netflix.
The studio has also announced several new global sales for its animated properties like Harry & Bunnie, Chuck Chicken, Supa Strikas and Bola Kampung.
The Kuala Lumpur-based studio has licensed two of its properties viz. the 78 x 7-minute series Harry & Bunnie and the 52 x 11-minute series Chuck Chickento Netflix.
In addition, Harry & Bunnie is also making its presence felt on free TV channels in Malaysia such as TV3 and TV9 and is also landing on premium platforms such as Tencent Video, Youku, YanHua Media, LuTong Net, Suma Vision and CIBN in China.
Meanwhile,the studio’s slapstick comedy Chuck Chicken has recently been signed to Malaysian publisher Sasbadi Holdings Berhad.
This collaboration grants publishing rights to Sasbadi Holdings with a three-year licensed period to develop a range of books based on Chuck Chicken.
In anticipation of the Soccer World Cup 2018, Bola Kampung, a brand created by Animasia Studio in 2010 has been also acquired by Yes Kidz channel (Israel).
The sports-theme series follows a soccer club formed by a group of village kids. The 2D-animated 78 x 22′ show is scheduled to air in Israel in January 2018.
